Abstract

Controlling and monitoring of unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) based on wireless communications is an upcoming research area. The control and implementation of the UGV s make use of wireless network techniques to set up a long range, high speed, noise immune and reliable connection with the remote base station. This paper proposes to select the most optimum path loss model after evaluating many models using simulation software like MATLAB. Further the most suitable network topology and modulation scheme is chosen according to the scenario, amount of traffic and whether the communication is LOS or NLOS .The design of UGV includes sensors, network devices, micro controller, mechanical and electrical design. . These types of vehicles can be used in multiple operations as search and rescue.
